Canara Bank has recently launched a new feature that allows you to block your UPI service to ensure the security of your account. This option comes in handy in case your account security is compromised, and there’s a risk of fraudulent UPI transactions. With this feature, you have the ability to block all UPI-related services, such as UPI money transfers and payments. By doing so, you can prevent any unauthorized activity or transactions on your bank account through UPI.
Losing your mobile phone or having it stolen can be a nightmare, especially if the wrong person gets their hands on it and gains access to your UPI application. If this happens, there is a high risk that they may misuse it and even withdraw money from your Canara bank account. Canara Bank customers can now block their UPI account anytime through net banking to secure their bank account in case their phone is stolen or their UPI account is at risk.
So today we will explain to you how you can use this latest feature and block/unblock UPI service for your Canara Bank account:-
Block/Unblock Canara Bank Account UPI anytime through Net Banking
(1) Login to your Canara Net banking account and go to the “Other Services” section.
(2) Now select the ‘Block and Unblock UPI‘ option.
(3) Choose the “Block” option and submit your request to block UPI for your account.
(4) Click on the confirm button to submit your request.
(5) Authenticate yourself by entering OTP and transaction password.
(6) Your Canara Bank UPI service has been blocked and you will not be able to access it from any UPI application. Once your UPI is blocked, you won’t be able to transfer or receive money, check your balance, or make any payments through UPI from your Canara bank account.
How To Unblock UPI for Canara Bank Account?
If you are sure that your UPI account is now secure, and you want to reactivate your UPI account and unblock UPI for your Canara Bank account, you can follow the same steps you took previously and unblock UPI service for your account online anytime.
- To Unblock UPI for your Canara Bank account, simply select the “Unblock” option and submit your request.
