PPF (Public Provident Fund) remains one of the most popular investment options. A PPF account can be opened by any Indian resident. One can also open a PPF account in the name of his or her minor children and can avail tax benefit on the contribution. PPF account matures in 15 years. One can also extend this term after 15 years by a block of five years with or without making further contribution
In SBI PPF account, minimum of Rs.500.00 subject to a maximum of Rs.1,50,000 per annum may be deposited. The subscriber should not deposit more than Rs.1,50,000 per annum as the excess amount will neither earn any interest nor will be eligible for rebate under Income Tax Act. The amount can be deposited in lump sum or in a maximum of 12 installments per year.

Check/View SBI PPF Account Balance & Statement Online
You can use SBI net banking facility to view your PPF account detailed statement, you don’t need to print passbook every month. Also you can use SBI Anywhere personal mobile banking application to check your ppf account.
1# Through Net Banking
1: First login to your SBI net banking account – https://retail.onlinesbi.com/
2: After login, click on My Accounts & Profile tab, here you can see your PPF account available balance. You can see last 10 transactions details by clicking on ‘check here for last 10 transactions‘
3: To view your full detailed statement, click on Account Statement, select your date and click on view as you can see below screenshot.
2# Through SBI Anywhere Mobile Banking
You can also use SBI Anywhere mobile banking to get details of your ppf account.
1: Login to SBI Anywhere.
2: After login, tap on My Accounts.
3: Now tap on Accounts summary.
4: In next screen, tap on PPF/SSA Accounts.
You can see your ppf account details here, tap on mini statement to check your last 10 transactions. To view full detailed statement you can use m-passbook.
So this is how you can check your SBI PPF account balance and statement online through net banking or mobile banking, no need to print passbook every time.
