PhonePe UPI Lite is a new payment feature that allows you to make small payments of up to ₹500 without having to enter your UPI PIN. It’s perfect for everyday purchases like buying a cup of coffee or a pack of gum or paying at a shop.
The UPI Lite transaction limit is Rs 500 per transaction and Rs 2,000 per day. This means that you can make up to Rs 500 payments using UPI Lite without having to enter your UPI PIN, and you can make up to Rs 2,000 in total UPI Lite payments per day.
Follow these steps and learn how to send or pay with UPI Lite on PhonePe:
Send OR Pay up to ₹500 Without UPI PIN With PhonePe UPI Lite
(1) Open your PhonePe app and you will find “UPI Lite – PIN less payments” option on the home screen, just tap and select this option.
(2) On the next screen you can enter the amount up to 2000 (maximum) to your PhonePe UPI Lite account. Enter the amount and tap on Add Money.
(3) Next screen select your bank account (this selected bank account will be used in future to add money in UPI Lite) and tap on the Add button.
(4) Next screen enter your 4-6 digit UPI PIN and complete the transaction.
(5) That’s it. Money has been added to your UPI Lite account successfully. Now use this money for payments. You can pay or send a maximum of 500 INR in a single transaction without using your UPI PIN.
On the home screen, you can view your UPI Lite available balance and tap on the UPI Lite option to add more balance.
How to Send or Pay Without UPI PIN?
After adding money to your UPI Lite account, now you can send or pay up to 500 without your UPI PIN.
To pay or send money from your UPI Lite account, just select any payment method and on the payment page, select the “UPI Lite” option as you can see in the below screenshot. No need to select your bank account when you pay 500 or less amount. Just choose “UPI Lite” and pay or send money from your UPI Lite account without UPI PIN.
If you are sending money to a mobile number on the chat screen, select the “UPI LIte” option and pay the amount from your UPI Lite account.
